Corrosion protection

Stopaq, cold-applied visco-elastic protection for steel. Wire brushing to St 2 is enough, no blasting and no primer.

Stopaq wrap around a flange joint

Stopaq

Cold, hand-wrapped corrosion protection for bare steel: pipes, flanges, valves, tank chimes. The visco-elastic compound presses into the surface and never dries out. No blasting, no primer; a mechanical overwrap goes on top.

A family business since 2000

Pekka Maukola started in district heating in the 1960s at the Helsinki utility, launched KWH Pipe's district heating pipe production in Vaasa in 1974 and led marketing for Raychem's Pipe Protection division in Belgium. The DualSeal patent came out of that period, the same product Kampek sells today.

Raychem wanted him as its distribution channel in Finland, and Kampek was founded in 2000. Since 2017 the company has been run by his son Petteri Maukola, with Mikko Partti in charge of the warehouse and deliveries in Tuusula.

What does Kampek sell?
Kampek supplies corrosion protection and joint sealing systems for Finland's district heating, gas and water networks and for industry. We represent three product families: Covalence heat‑shrink sleeves, Stopaq self‑healing polyisobutene protection and BG Industry heat‑shrink joints. The warehouse is in Tuusula and we deliver across Finland.
How long does the protection last?
Stopaq and Covalence systems are designed to last in the ground for the service life of the pipe. A traditional coating is recoated about every ten years. The longer service life lowers lifecycle cost and reduces maintenance shutdowns.
Do you deliver across all of Finland?
We deliver throughout Finland from the Tuusula warehouse. The most common items are in stock. We confirm the exact delivery time with the quote, based on the project and quantity.
How fast do the products ship?
We stock the standard products in Tuusula. Orders received before 14:00 we aim to process and ship the same day; others normally go out the next business day. We take orders on weekdays 08:00–16:00 by email and phone, and confirm the delivery time with the quote.
